The Cancer Research Institute (CRI) of Himalayan Institute Hospital Trust (HIHT) is addressing all aspects of cancer control such as prevention, early detection and treatment facilities supported by research and education.
HIHT has been providing community and tertiary level services for diagnosis, medical and surgical treatment of cancer for more than a decade through its specialty and super specialty departments.
One of the aims of CRI is to respond to the specific needs of the regional population and develop integrated cost-effective approaches to prevent and treat cancer.
CRI offers financial support for poor cancer patients by giving them concessions in radiation and chemotherapy and nuclear medicine, and free registration for BPL patients with concession in treatment upto 80% depending upon the genuine-ness of the particular case.
Even then, sometimes it is not enough.
Presently there are 4 children in CRI who need financial assistance to complete their treatment:
1. Miss Princy, a 10-year old girl suffering from acut lymphoblastic leukemia comes from a 7-member family. Her father is a wild life guard in a forest area, and all family members are dependent on him for financial support.
2. Miss Mansa, a 6-year old girl suffering from Hodgkin’s Disease, comes from a 4-member family who depend upon her father for daily wages income.
3. Miss Bhagya Sri, a 5-year old girl suffering from B-cell Lymphoma, comes from a 7-member family living in a one-room rented accommodation, and all depend upon her father for support.
4. Master Saurabh, a 13-year old boy suffering from acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia, comes from six-member family, all dependent upon his father working as a class IV employee in a college.
Please help these children complete their treatments with any financial aid you can give. No donation is too small, every bit helps.
